The Baltimore Ski Club was founded in 1947 when only the hardiest
enthusiasts tackled the slopes. Much has changed in the last 60
years, but not the goals of the club.

BRING A FRIEND!
"Thrills and Spills in the North Country"
Relive the downhill skiing boom of the 1960's, the lure of cross-country touring in
the 1970's, the birth of snowboarding, and the extreme skiing movement.
Enjoy reminiscing theme songs by the Hondells, the Reflections, Boyce and Hart
with songs: "Ski City", "Hip Square Dance". Do you remember: "Do the Ski with
me" and "King of the Mountain" by the Nooney Rickett 4 with Joni Lyman?
This movie will take you back to a time when ski races were on main streets and
Skijoring was done behind horses, cars and airplanes.
Movie filmed in Stowe, North Conway, Woodstock, and Lake Placid.

Blue Ridge Ski Council
The Blue Ridge Ski Council (BRSC) is a collection of DC, Maryland and Virginia area Ski Clubs. The Baltimore Ski Club is a member of the Blue Ridge Ski Council. As a member of the Baltimore Ski Club, you are eligible to participate in the two trips the BRSC organizes for this coming year, the Western Carnival at Breckenridge Colorado and Winterfest at Sugarloaf Maine. You can also look at BRSC sanction trips with another club in the BRSC without joining that club. If you are looking for another ski trip that is a better fit for your schedule, please check out the Blue Ridge Ski Council website at www.skicouncil.com
Eastern Pennsylvania Ski Council
We are now members of the Eastern Pennsylvania Ski Council. Founded in 1946 as the Pennsylvania Federation of Winter Sports Councils (later change to the Pennsylvania Ski Federation). The original councils were the Western, Central, Northeastern, and Eastern Pennsylvania. The Ski Club of Washington DC and the Baltimore Ski Club were also included as part of Federation until The Blue Ridge Ski Council was formed in the 50's. The Central and Northeastern Councils and the Pennsylvania Ski Federation were disbanded in the 1980's and 1990's respectively.
Like the Blue Ridge Ski Council, we are able to promote our club's events and you now have access to their member's trips without joining their clubs. As a member of the EPSC, we receive access to a number of benefits such as discount lift tickets and EPSC sponsored events. Check out their website about discount vouchers for the Pocono Mountains and New England on their website. www.easternpaskicouncil.org
