Snow tubing is a great alternative to skiing and the tubing lift brings riders to the top of the hill in no time for great fun. Hit the snowshoe trail for adventure, rentals and lessons are available at the Snowshoe Center.

Big Mountain Resort offers a self-contained alpine village including lodging, restaurants and taverns. The non-glitzy rail town of Whitefish, just a short drive down the hill, also offers an array of accommodations, eateries, and bars. If staying in town, getting to Big Mountain is easy by just riding the free Snow bus, which shuttles between Whitefish and Big Mountain.
